It's the last official day of the tour with our group. We're taken to a shopping complex in Kunming. One building is like a Costco of chinese medicines and dried foods.
Mmmm...free mushroom soup samples. Mom puts some medicine on her bruised hand. We're also taken to another tea shop and told some stories on the way.
For lunch, we're seated at two tables in a crowded hall right in front of a stage where a performance is going on. People are taking pictures of the performance all around us. One woman even comes up and poses between our tables, leaning on mom's chair like a prop.
We have an afternoon flight to Guangzhou (廣州) where we have a final dinner with everyone on the tour group before we head our separate way. On entering Guangzhou, the toll booth states "Civilized Guangzhou". There does feel like there's a change in the air and the food is suddenly a lot better.
