Antonella hooks us up with a ride to Nuoro, where we can catch a bus to our next destination: Bosa, on the west coast of Sardinia. Her friend Angelo is heading that way, but he speaks no English, so we just smile alot, happy we don't have to make a return trek with our packs.

Angelo drops us off in front of the bus station in Nuoro and we get tickets for Bosa. However, the bus won't leave for another few hours so we walk downtown a bit and find a place to sit in front of a large church.

We arrive in Bosa and find a room at Hotel Corte Fiorita, which has a main building by the river, but also rooms scattered in different apartments around town. We choose a cheaper room that's not in the main building, and we're transported to our apartment via golf cart through the twisting narrow streets. The streets are so narrow, I'd be scraping my elbow if I leaned too far out. It's a fun and bumpy ride and we're shown that we can easily walk back down to the main building for breakfast in the mornings by a series of pedestrian stairways that cut through the winding little streets.

Bosa is a very charming and colourful town on the River Temo. We walk around the main streets with all the tourist shops and restaurants and pick up some snacks and wine! Wine has been so cheap in the grocery stores, that we can't help but sample a few along our trip.

For dinner we walk along the river to restaurant La Pulce Rossa. I have penne with mussels, clams and crayfish.

With full stomachs, it's a nice sunset walk back along the river.
