With no appointments to meet anyone during the day, we set off down Nathan Road to wander and do some shopping.

We stop by the Peninsula Hotel. It is Hong Kong's most historic hotel, opened in 1928. Mom: "It's the "Royal York" of Hong Kong".

Above, bubbly colourful seating at the Miramar Centre. I spend about an hour in LOG-ON looking at cute stuff and come out with some Pony Brown day planners. We also spend some time at Muji and Uniqlo, oh why won't you come to Canada?

We look for Tak Hing Street where Dad's family used to live, but he doesn't remember what number building it was. Anyways, wandering down the street, none of the buildings look familiar and they've probably all been torn down and rebuilt since he lived there.

Face Change Performance

For dinner, we meet up with a group of Mom's highschool friends.
